#WEAREALOE | Around the 1920's Aruba was one of the largest exporters worldwide of the Aloe Hard Gum (used to create laxatives) and known globally as "The Island of Aloes." During this time, the Aloe Vera symbolized the island's prosperity and wellbeing while it dominated our people's livelihood, stories, beliefs, art, and, as you can see, even their houses.
