Our Aloe fields
Introduction
There are several ways to implement sustainable principles in agriculture. It turns out that already existing systems can help us with the requirements.
Ecologically responsible principles
Ecology is the scientific study of the distribution and abundance of living organisms and how the distribution and abundance are affected by interactions between the organisms and their environment. Mostly the term is used when we study the relations between people and their environment. When you work ecologically responsible, you always take the environment into account, and you try to disturb the natural environment as little as possible. This could apply to how buildings are built and designed into the landscape and using pest control methods that can damage the natural environment. As such, it can also be applied to any form of crop growth.
Royal Aruba Aloe Balm uses as much as possible ecologically responsible methods when farming the Aloes.
Fertilizer management
At this moment, we are already avoiding artificial fertilizers and only use soil that we produce from the organic waste of our factory, together with soil and organic material from under our Watapana trees. We mix this material and let them "mature" in our two soil pits.
