Sustainability: What does it mean?
The official definition of sustainability is: Meeting our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. In addition to sustainable resources, we also need to look at social and economic resources. Embedded in most definitions of sustainability, we also find social equity and economic development concerns. The three pillars of sustainability are Environment, Social, and Economic (The planet, the people, the profit).
Sustainability: Why do we want to do it?
The reason that we at Royal Aruba Aloe want to work on sustainable methods is not only because it is the current worldwide trend or because it is being requested by more and more of our clients, but it is also the correct way to work and contribute our part to improve the world for next generations.
Sustainability: Where does it apply?
In the broadest sense of sustainability, it involves everything we do and decide. The UN defined 17 goals of sustainability.

Sustainability: How does it apply to Royal Aruba Aloe?
It applies to all our departments and everything we do at Royal Aruba Aloe. Therefore all departments of Royal Aruba Aloe are involved, and we created a culture at Royal Aruba Aloe that will make everybody aware of the sustainability goals. It is not just the products or ingredients we use but everything we do.
Sustainability: How do we want to achieve this?
We will create a work group that will meet regularly. This workgroup will consist of key persons in the company, like directors and managers, who will educate themselves further in this field by studying the trends in sustainability and visiting (online) seminars, shows, and conferences.
We will also create an action list and discuss that in the weekly meeting. We will also discuss this document in the meetings because these goals must be updated regularly.
