Can you use aloe vera every day? A simple routine from morning to night

Yes. For most people, aloe vera is gentle enough to use every day, morning and night. It hydrates and calms the skin, and it fits easily into the routine you already have. There is one exception: if you're allergic to plants in the lily family, aloe isn't right for you. Not sure how your skin will react? Try a little on a small patch of skin first.

Here in Aruba, aloe isn't something we save for special moments. It's part of everyday life, the way the sun is. So we'd love to show you how simple it can be to bring a little aloe into your day, from the first coffee to the last light.

Why aloe vera is gentle enough for every day

The gel inside an aloe leaf is about 99% water. It also holds natural sugars, called polysaccharides, that attract water and help hold it in your skin. That's why aloe feels so refreshing, and why the hydration lasts.

Aloe is also low in allergens, which makes it friendly for many skin types, including sensitive skin. One honest note: a cream or lotion always contains more than aloe alone. Those other ingredients can still bother some skin, so it's always worth reading the label of anything new.

Your aloe routine, from morning to night

You don't need a long list of products. A few small moments a day are enough, so pick what feels right for you.

In the morning

Start with clean skin: lukewarm water, your fingertips, no need to scrub. Then a little aloe to hydrate, like our Advanced Day Crème, and a gentle pat around your eyes. Before you head out, a swipe of lip balm. Spending time in the sun today? Protect your skin first.

During the day

Hands work hard. Washing, typing, cooking, carrying. Keep a hand lotion close by and use it whenever your hands feel dry.

In the evening

After your shower, while your skin is still a little damp, is the easiest moment of the day to care for it. Smooth on a body lotion, like our Special Care Lotion, made for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

Elbows, knees or hands that need a little more? That's when we reach for the Ultra Intensive Aloe Cream, the product with the most aloe in our range.

Before bed, a little night cream for your face. And your feet too, if you like. Tired feet deserve care as well.

Can you put aloe vera on your face every day?

Yes. Aloe is gentle, so most people can use it on their face every morning and every evening. Start with a small amount and see how your skin feels. If your skin turns red, itchy or uncomfortable, stop using the product. If you're unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Aloe gel or a cream: which should you use?

It depends on what your skin asks for. An aloe gel feels light and cooling, which many people love on warm days. A cream or lotion adds nourishing ingredients alongside the aloe, like coconut oil and jojoba oil, which makes it a good choice when your skin feels dry. Many people use both: a light gel when the day is warm, and a richer cream in the evening or in winter.

From our fields to your morning

Every bit of our aloe grows on our own fields in Hato, Aruba. Our island gives aloe what it loves: dry, calcareous soil, plenty of sun and very little rain.

Our harvesters cut the leaves by hand, with knowledge that has been passed down through generations. Right after harvesting, the leaves go straight to our factory next to the fields, where the gel is processed fresh. From harvesting to packaging, everything happens in one place, here on the island.

So when you smooth on your night crème, a little piece of Aruba comes with it. Just a small, everyday moment of joy for your skin and soul.

Questions people also ask

What happens if I use aloe vera every night?

Used every evening, aloe helps keep your skin hydrated and comfortable while you sleep. There's no dramatic overnight change, and that's the point: small, steady care that your skin can rely on.

Are there any downsides to using aloe vera on your face?

For most people, no. The exceptions are an allergy to plants in the lily family, or a reaction to one of the other ingredients in a product. If your skin feels irritated, stop using it and check the ingredient list.

Do I need the whole routine?

Not at all. Even one step is a lovely start. Many people start with a body lotion after the shower or a cream for their face, and add more steps when it feels right.
