Aloe Vera | A Variety of Medical Applications
In ancient history and even up to 12th century the only remedy that came from the Aloe plant was the Latex. The Latex itself or the dried Latex (Aloe Hard Gum) was taken internally in small amounts for many different ailments. Several publications have been done on the anti-viral and pain killing properties of the latex, but mostly it was used as a laxative.
