At a certain point around 1920 Aruba was covered for two thirds with Aloe fields! In those days Aruba earned its nickname “the Island of Aloes”. In these years many houses were decorated with pictures of Aloe plants, and the plants could be found in every garden and household.

I purchase a bar for me and a few as gifts on our recent trip to Aruba. It is so silky soft and has a vey pleasant mild fragrance. I usually cannot use soaps that ae too perfumed but this one is very light. This soap is indeed silky!
